D&C Structural Remedial Works

Renovo Solutions (branded as Medal Constructions at the time of completion) secured the D&C remediation works at the Pullman Hotel Brisbane. Due to the below ground remediation works, the hotel carpark was originally due to be closed for multiple months, resulting in significant losses for the client and associated parties. 

An alternative structural design was presented to the client by Renovo and accepted, allowing a cost-effective solution to be implemented onsite. The alternative scheme allowed Renovo to reduce the construction program, therefore reducing the amount of time the car park was closed.

How: The project required remediation works to be delivered whilst the hotel remained operational. Our

• Value Engineering alternative for the structural slab and formwork design solutions.
• Continual LiDAR scanning of works to deliver 3D as-built documentation representative of all phases of construction.
• Fast-tracked construction program via the use of innovative demolition methods.
• Site monitoring for strain, vibration and noise during construction to mitigate impacts on the hotel operations above.
