Busway Tunnel Inspection and Monitoring Enabling Works

Renovo Solutions (branded as Medal Constructions at the time of completion) completed enabling works regarding the Boggo Road busway tunnel and Gaol dilapidation inspection and structural monitoring works on behalf of Stockwell. As part of the State Assessment and Referral Agencies, (SARA) development approval conditions, it was required that the busway tunnel be inspected and monitored for the duration of the construction works. 

Renovo Solutions co-ordinated and orchestrated the site works with the Transport and Main Roads (TMR), TransLink, Cross River Rail (CRR), and Brisbane Transport. Included in the SARA conditions were the requirement that the tunnel and monitoring equipment be inspected monthly. Renovo completed monthly inspection and enabling works of the tunnel and associated monitoring equipment in conjunction with the project consultant team, TMR and Stockwell.

How: The tunnel works required the tunnel to be partially closed between 8:00pm to 1:00am, and completely closed between 1:00am to 4:00am. Clear communication and co-ordination of Brisbane Metro, Traffic control and TMR was required to ensure safe and efficient closure and completion of the works within a major public civil infrastructure asset.
